A recent report found that 1 in 4 diabetics have limited their insulin intake because of cost. In 2017, four people passed away due to rationing their insulin. Four more passed away in 2018, and five more in 2019. This doesn’t sound like a large number but any death due to rationing a medication that should be free is one too many. We plan to end insulin rationing. We plan to make Type 1 Diabetics feel confident and comfortable with this chronic illness by being fully knowledgable on the best ways to manage it. We plan to create a community so strong that every diabetic will know that they have a support system to lean on, ask for advice, and help each other get through the trials that come with Type 1 Diabetes until a cure is found. We’ve formed a thriving community on TikTok with 90 K followers, and shipped throughout the U.S., and to Canada, the U.K., Australia, and more. Most importantly we forged personal connections with every person we talked to.
